Circle of Friends, Children’s Grief Support Group, Fall 2018

Children learn how to channel their grief in a positive way through crafts and sharing with others in this grief and loss support group. Our next 8 week session begins October 2nd and runs on Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 5:00pm in the Mission Hospice Society board room, and is for children ages 6-12yrs.

Caregiver’s Support Group

 

Are you currently caring for a loved one who is dealing with an end of life diagnosis?

WE ARE HERE TO SUPPORT YOU!

Mission Hospice Society offers a weekly Caregiver Support Group, free of charge, to anyone who is caring for a loved one who is facing end of life.

This weekly group provides a safe space for caregivers in which we offer respite, self-care, emotional support, recognition and resources. All members of the group are equally respected and valued.  This gorup is committed to honouring you and your family’s confidentiality.

Allow yourself a well-deserved break and an opportunity to talk about your experiences and challenges caring for your loved one.

There is no cost to this group but pre-registration is required.

Pathways, Adult Grief and Loss Support Group

 

It’s not easy to understand or accept the death of someone we love.  Our weekly, drop-in grief support group is a group of people who come together to help each other through their grief journey.

BENEFITS OF ATTENDING

  • Connection with others who are also grieving
  • Association with people who will listen without judgment.
  • Time to focus on how the loss is affecting you.
  • New ideas to help you cope and heal.
  • Time to share memories of the person who died.
  • Understanding of what responses are natural and normal during grieving.
