Located on the third floor of the Mission Memorial Hospital, the Christine Morrison Hospice is a ten bed hospice operated by Fraser Health.

In partnership with Fraser Health, the Mission Hospice Society provides patient comforts and volunteer support services to the Christine Morrison Hospice.

All donations for the Christine Morrison Patient comforts or volunteer services are now made payable to the Mission Hospice Society. Please see below for details of what patients comforts are….

Mission Hospice, in conjunction with the Christine Morrison Hospice, understands that this can be a difficult time in the lives of families and patients. Together we strive to facilitate and create a wonderful and loving experience for all who pass through here. Donor support allows us to continue this work. The comfort measures include but are not limited to the following:

  • Beverages
  • General maintenance
  • Toiletries
  • Laundry services
  • Entertainment
  • Welcome bears and journals
  • Art supplies
  • Art therapy
  • Magnetic butterflies
  • Facilitation of end of life wishes
  • Patio
  • Seasonal and indoor flowers
  • Memorial flowers

For the last 10 years, Mission Hospice has been proud to train and coordinate volunteers to serve the Christine Morrison Hospice. The volunteers play a key role in the Christine Morrison Hospice. They work side by side with the nurses helping, reminiscing, and supporting the patients and families in and outside of the Christine Morrison Hospice.  A volunteer donation goes towards but is not limited to the following:

  • Volunteer training programs
  • Continued education
  • Volunteer support
  • Volunteer appreciation
