Fall Celebration of Life Service
The Fall Celebration of Life Service for Mission Community, hosted by Mission Hospice Society in partnership with Kingsway Arms Cedarbrooke Chateau, has been finalized for Thursday September 9, from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. The service will take place in the comfortable and spacious "theatre / group room" at Cedarbrooke Chateau on 7th Ave. in Mission. Friday, April 8, 2011 has been secured for the Spring Celebration of Life Service at Cedarbrooke Chateau. The December Celebration of Life Service will be done by Dignity Memorial, date TBA.

Employment Opportunity - Volunteer Coordinator
Mission Hospice Society requires an exceptional full-time Coordinator of Volunteer Programs to join our team. Successful candidates must be knowledgeable about volunteerism and passionate about the mission and vision of hospice. You will have an understanding of the sensitivities and cultural differences of the people we serve. You must have the ability and be able to follow through on commitments you make that contribute to the growth and sustainability of Mission Hospice Society. The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills. You must be available to start immediately. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience. Mission MLA Marc Dalton: Mission Hospice Society Invaluable For Community
Maple Ridge-Mission MLA Marc Dalton spoke in the Legislature today to acknowledge the invaluable work of the Mission Hospice Society.
"Founded in 1985 to provide compassionate care and support to the dying and the bereaved, the hospice emphasizes "care not cure" for those who are in the final stages of life. Executive Director Kim Skinner truly believes that aligning oneself with the Mission Hospice society means working with a team of dedicated professionals, committed volunteers and generous donors who share the vision of quality hospice care for everyone in the community," said Dalton.

Mission Hospice to Hold Roaring 20's Fundraising Gala
With a Roaring 20's theme, dinner, silent / live auction, live band, dance, and best costume prize, the Mission Hospice Society's Emeralds Gala is sure to be an evening you won't want to miss!
The Emeralds Gala will be held on Saturday May 1, 2010 at the Best Western in Mission, B.C. Tickets are only $85, with proceeds supporting the work of the Mission Hospice Society. The event is over 70% sold, so don't wait!
